Easter 2013

Eight Easter baskets were lined up on the fireplace early this morning.  After all the stress of yesterday, I was pleased with the result.  The children woke each other and quietly tiptoed into the living room to check out what the bunny had brought.  Linus couldn't contain his excitement as he pointed saying "That, that!"  The Easter Bunny filled Linus' eggs with graham cracker bunnies instead of jelly beans.  The little man spent all morning shaking his eggs and sampling his bunnies.

The kids were delighted with their chocolate bunnies, plastic eggs filled with treats, and little toys.  Josie chattered on about the Easter Bunny and egg hunts.

Big kid bubbles – shower gel and loofahs!

We spent the morning preparing for Easter dinner.  Our home was filled with busy bakers, little chefs, and helpful decorators.

I am very proud of Katie.  She baked carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.  They were delicious and beautifully decorated.  She didn't ask for help and she cleaned up after herself.  Katie can help out in the kitchen any day.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and for those of you who celebrate, Happy Easter!
