I forgot my child.
The one that never stops talking. The one who is my little shadow.
My morning. started with an emergency run down to Westchester. My mom needed a blood transfusion. Her recent stem cell transplant left her feeling weak
On the way home, I remembered to drop papers off at the doctor’s office and pick Evan up from cross country practice.
Pierre was on a meeting. I settled in to catch up on some work.
The phone rang.
“Are you coming to pick me up?”
I heard little girl voices down the hall. I thought she was home.
There is always a first time for everything.
I forgot to pick up my daughter from Drama Club.
Thank goodness for understanding teachers.
