Michelle Obama’s bestselling memoir Becoming is now available to more readers. The former first lady has released two new editions including one for kids. While we have been anticipating the paperback version, we are super excited to share this book with our sons and daughters.
To celebrate the announcement, Obama posted a video on her Instagram page.
Obama shared, “My hope is that the young readers’ edition of Becoming can serve as a conversation starter for you. Maybe it’ll open up new dialogues with your children or grandchildren. Maybe you can use it as an opportunity to begin a book club with the young people you know or use it as an excuse to invite them into your existing book club.”
According to Penguin Random House, the Young Reader edition of Becoming is adapted for kids ages 10 and older. It features a special introduction by Obama and three photo inserts.
A trade paperback edition of the memoir will include a new introduction by Obama, a letter from Obama to her younger self and a book club guide featuring discussion questions.
Both editions were released on Mar. 2 and can be ordered here.
