Snoopy has plenty to “say” about Earth Day. He knows that the best way to celebrate is by taking care of your friends, especially your friend the Earth. He is making his feelings known in a brand-new original video that debuts today. The video, entitled “Choose to Reuse,” and accompanying family activity are available for free in the U.S. on GoNoodle.com.
Following the debut, the Earth Day–themed video will roll out worldwide in 10 additional languages on Peanuts’ international YouTube channels, and free activity sheets in 11 languages will be available for download on Peanuts.com.
As Snoopy ingeniously recycles and refashions discarded milk and juice cartons into a roomy bird condo for Woodstock and friends, he demonstrates the core principles of the global Take Care With Peanuts initiative: Take care of yourself, take care of your friends, and take care of the Earth.
This is the fourth video and activity to be released as part of the Take Care initiative, which draws on themes of wellness, community, and environmental engagement found throughout Charles Schulz’s revered comic strip, and includes philanthropic outreach, social messaging, and educational activities. Children and communities are at the heart of each activation.
After watching the video, you can use the activity kit to help your kids create their own birdhouse using materials readily available at home.
Throughout 2021, new Take Care videos will be released monthly with additional activities; all can be found on the GoNoodle website and app and on the Peanuts website.
