Gordon Bombay is returning to the ice. Disney+ just released the official trailer for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
The new series is set in present-day Minnesota. The Mighty Ducks are not the same team we remember from the beloved films. Instead of a group of scrappy underdogs, the team has evolved into an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After Evan Morrow is cut from the Ducks, he and his mom Alex, played by Lauren Graham, set out to build their own hockey team. They challenge the cutthroat ways of youth sports and learn to play for the love of the game. They may even inspire a few people along the way.
Emilio Estevez will reprise the role of Coach Bombay which he played in the original film franchise.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers premieres on Disney+ starting Mar. 26.
